Christmas Cards (the FINE print!)
Book mark this page! This will be updated continuously throughout the holiday season with answers to questions and inquiries regarding holiday cards. Hopefully I can answer most of them right now!
I will have around 100 card design templates available for you to browse through in my card gallery. There is a big selection of cards - hopefully to fit everyone's tastes. For the most part, the colors and text can be changed but the general layout can NOT. If you order a trifold, folded or luxe some minor rearranging will be required at times but the basic flow of the card will be the same. Many times the number of pictures on your card can be adjusted to your needs so just ask about that. Also, every card that I have shown as a sample has a coordinating back for it. I may or may not have posted that coordinating option, but I have them. If you are purchasing a flat paper card, the back will be shown in your gallery with your sample once I put everything together.
You will be able to find the card gallery on Facebook and my website and also my new website (to go live on or around October 1st). Many of the designs are new and some will be from past seasons. I will be retiring some designs due to me just being tired of them!! :) Pricing will be as follows:

Barn Date is set.....
October 8th.....
The location is right outside of Canton and I will be sure and post directions as the date gets closer -
Some things we will have - an AWESOME red barn with big doors and windows, a wooden fence, trees and grassy fields. We will bring some old chairs and benches for seating and I am hoping to have some old bikes, tricycles, luggage and a swing. Also - pumpkins, wagons and lots of blankets.
I will be doing these as full hour sessions - right now I plan on having just one day at the barn, but if interest is super high, we will consider adding that Friday before (October 7th).
$95 ~ session fee that includes 2 5x7s if order is placed by November 15th. Session fee MUST be paid by September 20th to hold your spot. Session is for one immediate family only - additional extended family members are $10 extra per person.

Very excited!!!
I'm so excited to let you guys know that my new website is in the works as I type! I have been wanting to do this for so long now and it's just been too crazy. I hope to get it up and "live" by September 1st. So, a few things will change with the new site but I'll for sure keep you posted. The BEST change is that you will be able to put you order in online instead of having to email me. I will keep the smugmug site as an archive/storage site and will open up all of your old galleries (2010 and older) so that you can order straight from smugmug. This of course will all take time and patience on your part but I know it will all be worth it in the end.
Still contemplating the Santa sessions and barn sessions and card designs are in the works..........will keep you posted on everything happening here at MHphotography so check back often!!!
In the mean time, stay cool..... I can't wait for Fall weather to arrive!!!

Where did summer go???
We have had a roller coaster summer this year. It's been one trip after another trip and lots of busy things going on in the Hart house. I would be lying if I told you that I'm sad it's coming to an end. As much as I love the pool and the beach and sleeping late every day, I absolutely crave the structure and routine that fall (and SCHOOL) bring back into our lives. The countdown is on! My big kids go back in one week and the little guy starts preschool the following week. I'm thrilled. :)
And that brings us to the busy season for photographers.... and the prep time for mini session and Christmas cards and Halloween and Thanksgiving.......my absolute favorite time of the year. My single goal this year for the holidays is to stay on top of it all and be done (with holiday sessions) by Thanksgiving. I believe this will be easier now that all three kids will be in school more days during the week.
So first things first.......I will be posting mini session dates next week for my normal fall locations......Canton, The Trace and Reunion. These locations are tried and true and always turn out great results. I am looking for one different place though to do a special weekend. And, would love your help!!! I want a RED barn. You know, a really nice red barn. If you know of anyone that has one or a place that might be willing to let me shoot there, please message me. I'm also thinking of doing some kind of fruit stand/pumpkin patch location so I'll let you know how that goes. All of those dates/info will be posted in the next few weeks, so be on the look out!!
If you are on a yearly plan, please email me NOW to schedule your fall/holiday session time. They go so quick and I foresee myself cutting off even earlier than I did last year. It is imperative that you secure your spot on the calendar.
ALSO - I will be getting holiday card samples ready and displayed here and on facebook and my site very soon. Will have some new shapes and styles and I'm so excited about it! Card design is one of my favorite parts of the season. I will have plenty of great choices to choose from so be on the lookout.
Somewhat off topic - I LOVE LOVE LOVE the clothing company Matilda Jane and will be hosting a MJC show on September 7th from 3-5pm. This will be for the 2nd fall release. If you aren't familiar with MJC, they do 3 releases each season. I chose the 2nd because I wanted to get into school good and have some breathing time before my party. The clothes they sell make wonderful outfits for pictures so check them out. www.matildajaneclothing.com And if you want to place an order and can't come to the party, just let me know!

It's almost SUMMER!
Don't know about you guys but I can't wait for full time summer to hit. Love the no homework, no alarm clock mornings with my kids. And, most of all - vacations!!! I'm really excited about the two beach weeks we have planned this summer and can't wait to help you guys make some wonderful memories there with your families! Directions to Dinsmor for mini sessions....
Take I55 to Ridgeland and take the Old Agency exit like you are going to Renaissance. At the roundabout take left on Highland Colony (you will be going south). Then take the first right onto Old Agency Parkway. Dinsmor will be on the left about a mile down the road. The street is Dinsmor Crossing if you want to GPS it. Once you turn into Dinsmor the clubhouse and picture area will be on the left. Beach sessions this year will be limited. I will be in Orange Beach June 1-5th. I will also be in Sandestin for a week but these dates haven't been set yet. I'm waiting on word from the condo owners. I will post the dates as soon as I have them. If I have a huge response, I will consider adding a 3rd week as well.
Basic Beach Session Info ~
$225 session fee (due in full by May 1st)
Session will begin around sunset - generally around 6:30-6:45pm
Only one session will be booked each day.

Session will begin around sunset - generally around 6:30-6:45pm
Only one session will be booked each day.
Session will last 45minutes - 1hour
One cd with all proofs on it will be mailed to you approximately 3 weeks after photos have been taken.
***you can include as many family members as you like in the session hour***
