Where did summer go???

We have had a roller coaster summer this year. It's been one trip after another trip and lots of busy things going on in the Hart house. I would be lying if I told you that I'm sad it's coming to an end. As much as I love the pool and the beach and sleeping late every day, I absolutely crave the structure and routine that fall (and SCHOOL) bring back into our lives. The countdown is on! My big kids go back in one week and the little guy starts preschool the following week. I'm thrilled. :)

And that brings us to the busy season for photographers.... and the prep time for mini session and Christmas cards and Halloween and Thanksgiving.......my absolute favorite time of the year. My single goal this year for the holidays is to stay on top of it all and be done (with holiday sessions) by Thanksgiving. I believe this will be easier now that all three kids will be in school more days during the week.

So first things first.......I will be posting mini session dates next week for my normal fall locations......Canton, The Trace and Reunion. These locations are tried and true and always turn out great results. I am looking for one different place though to do a special weekend. And, would love your help!!! I want a RED barn. You know, a really nice red barn. If you know of anyone that has one or a place that might be willing to let me shoot there, please message me. I'm also thinking of doing some kind of fruit stand/pumpkin patch location so I'll let you know how that goes. All of those dates/info will be posted in the next few weeks, so be on the look out!!

If you are on a yearly plan, please email me NOW to schedule your fall/holiday session time. They go so quick and I foresee myself cutting off even earlier than I did last year. It is imperative that you secure your spot on the calendar.

ALSO - I will be getting holiday card samples ready and displayed here and on facebook and my site very soon. Will have some new shapes and styles and I'm so excited about it! Card design is one of my favorite parts of the season. I will have plenty of great choices to choose from so be on the lookout.

Somewhat off topic - I LOVE LOVE LOVE the clothing company Matilda Jane and will be hosting a MJC show on September 7th from 3-5pm. This will be for the 2nd fall release. If you aren't familiar with MJC, they do 3 releases each season. I chose the 2nd because I wanted to get into school good and have some breathing time before my party.
